Antique Edwardian lace tea gown is tiered with a fancy lace and net design. The dress is fashioned of the thinnest muslin and decorative embroidered lace. There is netting attached to the lace to make the tiers in the skirt. The bodice of this dress has so many snaps and hook and eyes .... it is challenging to assemble it correctly; There is a net corset cover inside the dress that snaps closed. The skirting has a wide grosgrain band and a hook and eye closure; the skirting is sewn into this band. the color of this piece is a creamy white. Condition: Good to age; There are period repairs both good and less than optimal; Some holes to the lace and some to the fabric are present; There is no staining; The fabric is the thinnest muslin ever... just lovely but not all that strong and easy to tear.
